TRANSFORMATIVE. CHALLENGING. EMPOWERING. INTERNATIONAL.
TRANSFORMATIVE
LCIS students enthusiastically engage with new ideas and experiences, developing a lifelong love for learning. For 60 years, we have inspired excellence.
CHALLENGING
Through a personalised approach, our curriculums and programmes challenge students to meet high standards for academic, personal and interpersonal development.
EMPOWERING
LCIS students are encouraged to voice their opinions and reflect on their learning. Students develop strong leadership skills and take action to solve problems of local and global concern.
International
LCIS is a diverse community of learners with more than 40 nationalities and 14 languages represented. We build on diverse perspectives while promoting multilingualism and fostering global citizenship.
A TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS
LCIS graduates enter top universities around the world prepared for lives of leadership, service and success in our complex global community.
Early Learning
Students in our Early Learning Centre (ELC) are as young as 18 months old. Their learning is play-based and guided by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. In the ELC, children acquire a variety of important skills, knowledge and attitudes that will enhance their future learning and participation in society. Our young learners develop strong bonds with their teachers and participate in specialist classes such as music, art, physical education and Spanish.
elementary
The Elementary School offers an inquiry-based approach to learning for students in Grades 1 through 5, within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. In Elementary School, we set the foundation for future academic, social and emotional wellbeing. Students master universal skills and concepts with their classroom teachers and benefit from specialised instruction in Spanish or French, music, physical education and art.
Upper school
In our Upper School, we prepare students for post-secondary study and to make an impact on the world as young leaders. Our students develop critical-thinking skills and become innovative problem solvers through our challenging and transformative curriculum. Students in Grades 6-10 follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, while we offer both the IB Diploma Programme and Career-Related Programme to students in Grades 11 and 12. All graduates earn the LCIS high school diploma and can personalise their experience with the IB course of study that best meets their goals.
