Admissions

Begin your LCIS journey.

A clear, supportive admissions process — for families on island, families relocating from abroad, and families currently weighing schools across The Bahamas.

Tuition & Financial Aid

A non-profit school. 100% of tuition reinvested in teaching and learning.

LCIS is a non-profit school. Tuition is set transparently and reinvested entirely in faculty, facilities and student programmes.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

LCIS offers financial assistance to families who demonstrate need and whose children meet our academic and community standards. Since 2019, LCIS graduates have earned more than $10.5 million in university scholarships — and we are committed to ensuring that talent at LCIS is never gated by family circumstance.

The Process

Four steps to enrolment.

Step 01

Inquiry & tour

Submit an initial inquiry online or call us directly. We schedule private tours for prospective families every week — including remote video tours for parents not yet on island.

Step 02

Application

Complete the LCIS application with your child's academic records and supplemental recommendations. There is a non-refundable $250 application fee.

Step 03

Assessment & interview

Participate in an age-appropriate assessment and an interview with the relevant Head of School (Lower or Upper). For younger children, this is informal.

Step 04

Decision & enrolment

Decisions are communicated promptly following a completed application. Families who receive an offer will be guided through the enrolment process by our admissions team, who are happy to answer questions and, where helpful, connect you with current LCIS families.

For Relocating Families

We have done this hundreds of times.

If you are moving to Nassau from London, New York, Toronto, São Paulo or elsewhere, we can compress your admissions timeline, coordinate remote assessments, and connect you with current LCIS families from your country or industry.

Mid-year arrivals

We welcome students at any point in the year, subject to availability. The transition is handled by a dedicated Welcome Coordinator.

Remote assessment

Children currently overseas can complete the assessment portion remotely, with an in-person follow-up on arrival.

Parent-to-parent connections

On request, we introduce prospective families to current LCIS parents who recently made the same move. No marketing — real perspective.

The Next Step

Speak to admissions.

A short call is the simplest way to understand whether LCIS is right for your family.
