LCIS Alumni Gather in London for ‘Dragon Alum: London Calling’ Reception
Lyford Cay International School (LCIS) alumni living in London and across the United Kingdom came together for an evening of connection, conversation and fond memories at the ‘Dragon Alum: London Calling’ reception.
Held on Thursday, 24 September 2026, at Bahamas House, The Bahamas High Commission in London, the highly anticipated event brought together generations of LCIS alumni for an evening of reconnection and celebration.
Organised by LCIS Director of Alumni Engagement Mr Craig Massey, the reception provided an opportunity for ‘Dragon Alumni’ to reconnect, share memories of their time at LCIS and reflect on their experiences attending school and living in The Bahamas. Opportunities such as this meet-up are especially meaningful for the school as it prepares to celebrate its 65th anniversary next school year.
His Excellency Paul Andy Gomez, High Commissioner for The Bahamas to the United Kingdom, warmly welcomed guests and congratulated the school on organising the successful gathering.
High Commissioner Gomez also praised Mr Massey and his wife Rebecca, former LCIS Development Coordinator, as “wonderful ambassadors for LCIS and for The Bahamas”, highlighting their commitment to bringing members of The Bahamas and LCIS communities together.
“Dragon Alum: London Calling” provided an opportunity for former LCIS students to reconnect with one another, spanning different generations and experiences, while celebrating the lasting relationships and memories formed during their years at the school. At LCIS, students are guided to develop an internationally minded perspective that encourages them to understand and appreciate different cultures, perspectives and ways of thinking. This strong foundation prepares students to lead with confidence and purpose in their careers and communities, wherever their journeys take them after their time at LCIS.
The gathering also highlighted the international reach of the LCIS community, with Dragon Alumni continuing to live, work and contribute to communities around the world while maintaining their connection to The Bahamas and to LCIS.
Earlier in the day, High Commissioner Gomez introduced the LCIS team to The Honourable Alistair Harris, CMG CVO, His Majesty King Charles III’s Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, during a meeting at Bahamas House.

The success of the event demonstrated the value of creating opportunities for alumni to reconnect and celebrate their shared LCIS experience, wherever life may take them.
